Palazzo Corsini Antinori

Palazzo Corsini Antinori, Renaissance palazzo in central Florence, Italy

Palazzo Corsini Antinori is a Renaissance palace in Florence featuring a facade with eight rows of windows framed by rusticated stonework. The building preserves a notable courtyard with an arcaded loggia and an ornate well at the center of the internal court.

The Serristori family commissioned construction between the late 1400s and early 1500s, with architect Giuliano da Sangallo completing the palace by 1520. It emerged during Florence's peak Renaissance period and reflects the architectural innovations of the era.

The interior courtyard features a three-sided loggia with columns and rounded arches, decorated with mythological sculptures and monochrome paintings that echo ancient Roman art. This classical ornamentation reveals how Renaissance patrons drew inspiration from the ancient world they admired.

The building now houses the Aquaflor perfume shop and Flor Decor establishment, allowing visitors to explore the palace while shopping for luxury fragrances. You can access the interior courtyard through these commercial spaces as you move through the ground level.

A steep linear staircase rises from the courtyard to the first floor, revealing practical solutions favored by Renaissance architects. This design choice preserved valuable courtyard space while still providing access to the upper levels of the palace.
