Palazzo Barbieri, City hall in Verona, Italy
Palazzo Barbieri is a neoclassical building facing Piazza Brà in Verona.
Originally designed by Giuseppe Barbieri and completed in 1848, it has been the seat of the local government since the annexation by the Kingdom of Italy.
Once called Palazzo della Gran Guardia Nuova, it reflects the Austrian influence on Veronese architecture.
The building is used for administrative offices and is not typically open to the public.
Survived bombing during World War II, the Palazzo has become an icon of resilience.
