Palazzo Buondelmonti, Medieval palace in Piazza Santa Trinita, Florence, Italy
The palace spans three floors with an attic, featuring seven arched windows framed by stone cornices and corner rustication on the exterior walls.
The Buondelmonti family acquired the building in 1517 and completed the facade in 1525, following previous ownership by the Scali, Del Bene, and Cambi families.
In 1819, Gian Pietro Vieusseux established his literary cabinet in the palace, hosting meetings with writers including Giacomo Leopardi and Alessandro Manzoni.
The palace stands near major landmarks of Florence, with public transportation access and numerous restaurants in the surrounding streets of the historic center.
Two commemorative plaques on the facade honor both Ludovico Ariosto's stay with Zanobi Buondelmonti and the foundation of the Vieusseux literary cabinet.
