Santo Stefano, Romanesque parish church in Filattiera, Italy

The stone church features a single portal entrance, a western-oriented facade, and a semicircular apse facing the eastern direction.

The religious structure dates back to 817, when it was first documented as Ecclesie S. Stefani in loco Campo Maiore.

The interior of the church contains a geometric mosaic floor made from colored marble and an ancient Roman sarcophagus from the 2nd century.

The church stands in Piazza Don Renzo Gori and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Massa Carrara-Pontremoli in Tuscany.

During restoration work in 1999, workers discovered the Warrior of Sorano statue embedded within the church facade, measuring 5'7" tall.
