Sagrestie of the Basilica of saint Martin

Sagrestie of the Basilica of saint Martin, Baroque sacristy in Alzano Lombardo, Italy.

The sacristy consists of three interconnected rooms arranged in an L-shape, featuring ornate wooden furnishings and decorative stucco elements throughout the spaces.

Construction authorization was granted on August 12, 1676, by Bergamo's podestà, allowing for expansion around the San Martino Basilica during its final building phase.

The second sacristy chamber contains a large altar with Andrea Peracca's sculpture depicting the Death and Passion of Jesus Christ, alongside allegorical statues.

The sacristy forms part of the Museo d'Arte Sacra San Martino, which displays religious artifacts and maintains regular visiting hours for public access.

The third rectangular chamber, resembling a miniature conclave room, features frescoes by Giulio Quaglio il Giovane depicting biblical scenes of Abel and Abraham's sacrifices.
