Tirivolo

Located at 1,580 meters above sea level in the Sila Piccola region, Tirivolo features wooden chalets and a transformed wooden lodge within forested terrain.

The village originated in the 1930s as a rest stop and camping area for forestry workers and charcoal makers in the Calabria mountains.

The Grechi family transformed this former workers' settlement into a tourist destination during the post-war period, maintaining its wooden architectural elements.

The mountain village offers outdoor activities including horseback riding, hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and access to the first adventure park in Calabria.

Scientific studies have identified Tirivolo's air quality as among the cleanest in Europe, with the village maintaining a permanent population of five residents.
