Villa La Versiliana

Villa La Versiliana is a three-story mansion set within an 80-hectare park between Marina di Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi. The grounds feature pine and oak forests connected by walking paths throughout the property.

Built in 1886 by the counts Digerini Nuti, it shows how forests were transformed into private estates toward the end of the 19th century. The municipality of Pietrasanta later acquired the property and adapted it to new uses.

The name comes from an important local family, and today it serves as a venue where art and performance take root in a noble setting. Visitors can see how a grand residence has become woven into the region's cultural activities.

The grounds are open to visitors and host cultural events and artistic performances, especially during summer. It is best to wear sturdy shoes since the forest paths cross uneven terrain.

The property preserves remnants of the original coastal forest that once covered northern Tuscany, with trees that are centuries old. This surviving woodland offers a rare glimpse into how the landscape appeared before modern development.
