Villa Parisi

Villa Parisi is a Renaissance residence in Frascati featuring decorated rooms, a nymphaeum, and formal gardens surrounding the main structure. The building design comes from architect Girolamo Rainaldi and includes multiple levels with detailed exterior facades typical of 17th-century estates.

Cardinal Scipione Borghese purchased the property in 1615 and it later underwent major renovations under Camillo Borghese in the early 1700s. These extensive changes shaped the building into its current form and transformed many of its interior spaces.

The name comes from one of its aristocratic families who lived here for generations. Inside, you can see elaborate painted walls with mythological scenes that show the taste of the wealthy residents who commissioned them in the 1700s.

The property is privately owned today and not typically open to the general public for regular visits. Check ahead if there are any special occasions or tours scheduled that might allow access to the grounds and interiors.

The gardens contain remains of an ancient Roman villa buried beneath the Renaissance structures. This layering shows how the site has hosted different civilizations across many centuries.
