Villa Falconieri, Renaissance villa in Frascati, Italy
Villa Falconieri stands on the remnants of a Roman villa with lateral wings and a central niche designed by Francesco Borromini in Baroque style.
The property changed ownership from Alessandro Rufini to Francesco Cenci in 1563, followed by Cardinal Alessandro Sforza and later the Gonzaga family.
The interior contains frescoes by Pier Leone Ghezzi, Giacinto Calandrucci, and Ciro Ferri, including the notable Omaggio a Venere by Niccolò Berretoni.
Guided tours operate every Sunday at 10 AM and noon, requiring advance reservations through email at visite@vivariumnovum.net.
German writer Richard Voss lived in the villa for 25 years, writing several novels and referring to the building as his shining house.
