Villa Castelbarco, Vaprio d'Adda

Villa Castelbarco stands along the Martesana canal and Adda river, surrounded by 80,000 square meters of parkland where deer roam freely.

The property originated as a Vallombrosan monastery in 1100, later transformed into a noble residence by Count Giuseppe Simonetta during the 18th century.

The villa contains underground galleries created between 1835 and 1838, featuring themed rooms decorated with antiques, mosaics, and cultural artifacts.

Located at Via Concesa 4, the villa now operates as the Barco art and culture center, hosting cultural events and private functions.

The basement includes specially designed rooms with Egyptian, Etruscan, Roman, Oceanic, and Renaissance themes, complete with fountains and water features.
