Villa Vogel

Villa Vogel sits on Via delle Torri within a 5-hectare park featuring open lawns, tree-lined paths, and geometric flower beds arranged near the building. Multiple entry points from Via Canova, Via Luigi Pampaloni, Via Corcos, and Via delle Torri provide access, while the grounds also contain a skating rink and children's area.

The Capponi family transformed the medieval tower house into a suburban villa during the 15th century, incorporating a cloister on the lower level. This architectural renovation marked the shift from a fortified structure to an elegant residential retreat on the city's outskirts.

The grounds hold a memorial dedicated to victims of Auschwitz, created by Professor Flavio Bartolozzi alongside students from the G. Michelucci Art School. This work serves as a space where visitors can pause and reflect on a significant moment in European history.

The park is accessible from multiple entry points, with distinct zones to explore on foot ranging from ordered gardens to more open green areas. Allow time to walk through both sections, as they offer different experiences and require a leisurely pace to fully appreciate.

The grounds merge two distinct garden styles: a formal Italian garden with geometric patterns and ordered beds near the building, and an English landscape garden with more natural forms in the surrounding zones. This contrast between structured and relaxed design creates two very different walking experiences within a single space.
