Palazzo Donà Giovannelli

The palace features two distinct facades, with the Rio di Noale side displaying Gothic architecture through arched windows and ornate heptaforas on each floor.

The structure, possibly designed by Filippo Calendario in 1400, belonged to the Duke of Urbino before passing to the Donà family and later the Giovannelli family.

The palace interior contains numerous small rooms instead of a central hall, decorated with period stuccos, wooden furniture, and original fireplaces.

The building stands 10 minutes from Santa Lucia train station and will transform into a luxury hotel with 45 rooms and suites in 2024.

The structure includes an octagonal staircase leading to upper floors and multiple hidden terraces offering views across the Venetian canals.
