Prestreljenik

Prestreljenik is a mountain peak featuring a striking natural opening carved through limestone rock. The summit has distinctive twin peaks linked by this geological formation, creating its recognizable silhouette.

The opening in the mountain developed over many thousands of years through natural water erosion that gradually dissolved and carved away the limestone. This slow geological process shaped the distinctive summit we see today.

From certain viewpoints, the sun appears to set twice as it passes through the opening. This optical effect happens because of how the hole aligns with the horizon and is especially visible at sunset.
