Jôf Fuart

Jôf Fuart rises to 2666 meters in the western Julian Alps, featuring steep slopes and challenging terrain for mountain climbing enthusiasts.

The mountain's name evolved from the Slovenian word 'više', meaning higher, which was later mistranslated into the Friulian term 'fuart'.

The mountain stands as a symbol of alpine exploration in the region, attracting climbers who test their skills on its demanding routes.

Access to the summit is possible through a marked path on the southern side, while the northern face remains restricted to experienced climbers.

The mountain holds the position of second-highest peak in the western Julian Alps, with a prominence of 528 meters from its base.
