Christuskirche Meran

Christuskirche is a church building with Gothic Revival design, featuring a longitudinal layout with a polygonal apse and pointed arch windows. The interior is decorated with detailed stained glass that reflects the skilled craftsmanship of the period.

The building was designed and constructed by Berlin architect Hans Vollmer between 1883 and 1885, a period when Merano was rapidly developing as a health resort. This church was part of that expansion and growth.

The church serves the evangelical Lutheran community and hosts music concerts and cultural events alongside religious services. This dual purpose shows how deeply it is woven into the city's cultural life.

The church is located at Carduccistraße 31 near the Passirio River and is about a five-minute walk from the historic center. The grounds are easily accessible and surrounded by green space.
