Antiquarium Turritano, Archaeological museum in Porto Torres, Sardinia, Italy
The Antiquarium Turritano exhibits Roman artifacts, including statues, inscriptions, and maritime objects discovered in the ancient colony of Turris Libisonis.
Built between 1971 and 1973, the museum opened in 1984 to preserve archaeological findings from excavations in the ancient Roman port city.
The museum collection documents trade connections between Sardinia and regions across the Mediterranean basin through pottery, tools, and ceremonial objects.
The museum welcomes visitors from Monday through Sunday between 9:00 and 18:00, except on Wednesdays when it remains closed.
A bronze plate displaying tax exemption rules and a glass cinerary urn represent some of the rare artifacts housed in the museum.
