Rametz, Medieval castle and winery in Merano, Italy.

The Rametz Castle spans across 10 hectares of vineyards on a moraine hill, featuring stone cellars and traditional chestnut wood trellises for grape cultivation.

Dating back to 1227, Rametz Castle introduced the first Pinot Noir vines to South Tyrol in 1860 and hosted notable guests including King Albert of Saxony.

The Wine Museum within Rametz Castle exhibits traditional winemaking equipment and techniques, representing South Tyrol's deep connection to viticulture.

Located at Via Labers 4 in Merano, the castle offers guided tours, wine tastings, and a vinotheque where visitors can purchase wines and local products.

The estate maintains two distinct cellars: an eighteenth-century stone structure for large oak barrels and a twelfth-century space for barrique wine maturation.
