The church structure features two interconnected elliptical spaces, with a concave facade creating a small square along Via Fratelli Vaschetto.
Construction began in 1709 under architect Antonio Bertola, with Francesco Gallo supervising the work until its completion in 1715.
The main hall displays fourteen paintings depicting the Triumphs of the Cross, along with representations of the four Doctors of the Church.
The building connects to the Santa Croce hospital complex, which operated from 1732 to 1960 before transforming into a civic library.
The dome contains large lunette frescoes representing Faith, Hope, Charity, and Humility, with smaller paintings showing events from Christ's Passion.
