Villa Biancardi

Villa Biancardi is an Art Nouveau residence in Codogno featuring stone and brick exteriors with double windows, loggias, and decorative figures arranged across three levels. The design displays the flowing lines and ornamental details characteristic of this architectural style.

Architect Gino Coppedè designed the building between 1907 and 1911 as a wedding gift from Carlo Biancardi to his future wife Antonietta Bono. This personal occasion marked a significant moment in early 20th-century architecture in the region.

The rooms display carefully crafted wooden furnishings and notable light fixtures, including a reproduction of the famous chandelier from Pisa's Cathedral. This decoration reflects the refined taste of the family who occupied the space.

The building has ground-level accessible entrances and lifts for visitors with limited mobility. It serves as a venue for private events and offers appropriate spaces for various occasions.

The surrounding park contains a heated greenhouse and a diverse collection of trees including cedars, sequoias, magnolias, cherries, camellias, and hydrangeas. This botanical variety makes the grounds of particular interest for plant enthusiasts.
