Villa Marcello

Villa Marcello presents a combination of Venetian architectural elements with extensive gardens, stucco decorations, and frescoed rooms depicting historical scenes.

The Marcello family, who arrived in Venice during the 7th century, built this residence in the 1500s and completed major renovations in the 18th century.

The interior features a room decorated with frescoes narrating the story of Alexander the Great, created to honor the marriage of a family member named Alessandra.

The villa operates exclusively through pre-arranged visits, accommodating private groups and serving as a venue for weddings and special events throughout the year.

Current owner Jacopo Marcello personally conducts tours, sharing stories of his ancestors including a naval commander who led battles even after death.
