Palazzo Albani

Palazzo Albani is a Renaissance palace spanning four floors with a trapezoidal footprint organized around a central rectangular courtyard lined with stone balustrades. The structure features a formal layout that balances practical spaces with decorative architectural elements throughout.

The palace was built in the second half of the 15th century by Albanian mercenaries and underwent major renovations in the early 18th century under Cardinal Annibale. These changes shaped the appearance we see today.

The interior shows elaborate stucco decorations and landscape frescoes that visitors can still see today. These artistic details reflect the craftsmanship that once defined the space.
