Villa Sola Busca, Tremezzo, Neoclassical villa in Tremezzo, Italy

Villa Sola Busca is a neoclassical mansion on the waterfront of Tremezzo with an elaborate facade and decorative stonework. The residence displays 18th-century characteristics including a monumental entrance and ornamental details carved into its exterior.

The property was built in the early 18th century by the Duchess of Carretto and later passed to the Brentano family. Ownership changed several times over the decades before the Busca family acquired it, giving the residence its current name.

The villa reflects the tastes of its residents through artworks commissioned over generations. The name references the Busca family, who occupied the residence during the 19th century.

The property is private and does not allow public visits to its interior spaces or art collections. The exterior facade and garden side can be viewed from the lake, offering an outside perspective of the residence.

Poet Giuseppe Parini lived and worked here for nine years as a tutor while composing some of his most important literary works. His residence at the house became a significant moment in Italian literary history.
