The Palazzo del Governatore stands on the northern side of Piazza Garibaldi with a yellow-tinted facade and neoclassical architectural elements.
Initially built in 1283 as Palazzo dei Mercanti, the structure underwent major transformations in 1606 following the collapse of its central tower.
The palace houses temporary exhibitions, including collections from international artists like Duchamp, Picasso, and Morandi in contemporary art displays.
Visitors can access the palace from Wednesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with regular tickets priced at 8 euros.
Three complex sundials from 1829 on the facade display time zones, solstices, and zodiac constellations alongside a prominent clock tower.
