Museo Civico di Montepulciano

The museum occupies Palazzo Neri Orselli, a 14th-century building with traditional architecture near the main square. Inside, visitors find galleries displaying paintings spanning from the medieval period through the 19th century.

The institution was established in 1954, drawing from a major private donation received decades earlier in 1859. This initial collection formed the foundation of what is displayed today.

The collection displays works from regional schools and preserves a broad range of artistic traditions across different time periods. The pieces reflect the artistic influences that shaped the area over centuries.
