Mausoleum of Maxentius, Mausoleum in Rome
The Mausoleum of Maxentius is a monumental tomb situated along the Via Appia.
Constructed in the early 4th century, it was intended for Emperor Maxentius' son, Valerius Romulus.
Although named after Emperor Maxentius, his remains are not interred there.
Today, it forms part of the archaeological park of the Appian Way.
It features an impressive circular structure, rare for Roman mausoleums.
