Church of Saint Olivia, Catholic church in Alcamo, Italy
The Church of Saint Olivia features two bronze portals depicting biblical scenes and houses marble polychrome altars crafted by Mariano and Simone Pennino.
Established in 1533, the church underwent major reconstruction in 1724 under architect Giovanni Biagio Amico, transforming from Gothic-Catalan style to a single-nave design.
The marble statue of Saint Olivia, created by Antonello Gagini in 1511, stands as a central artistic element within this Italian national heritage site.
The church maintains regular visiting hours and serves as an active religious center under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trapani.
Following a fire in 1987 that destroyed the ceiling, extensive restoration work was conducted under the supervision of Sicily's Cultural Heritage Department.
