Monastero di Santa Lucia, Church building in Adrano, Italy.
The monastery features a central baroque church with three distinct orders and two bell towers topped with quadrangular domes.
Founded in 1157 by Adelasia, granddaughter of Norman Count Ruggero, the monastery provided shelter for young girls without requiring dowries.
The interior contains numerous artworks, including an 1843 Saint Lucy painting by Giuseppe Rapisardi and dome paintings depicting the Assumption of the Virgin.
The monastery now functions as an elementary school, situated next to Giovanni Verga high school and near a polygonal public park.
The church interior presents an elliptical nave crowned by a dome, decorated with paintings of the four doctors and evangelists of the church.
