Palazzo Paradiso, Renaissance palace in medieval center of Ferrara, Italy

The Palazzo Paradiso features three-story architecture with a central courtyard, ornate stone decorations, and multiple entrances along Via delle Scienze.

Alberto V d'Este commissioned the construction of Palazzo Paradiso in 1391 to celebrate his marriage to Giovanna de Roberti.

The building houses the Biblioteca Ariostea, containing nearly 400,000 items dedicated to local writers and historical manuscripts of Ferrara.

The Palazzo Paradiso opens its doors to visitors throughout the week, providing access to both the historical anatomical theater and library collections.

Within the palace walls stands an octagonal anatomical theater from 1731, designed by Giacinto Agnelli with specialized entrances for medical demonstrations.
