Palazzo Landi

Palazzo Landi, Castle and palace in Alseno, Italy.

Palazzo Landi is a residence built with symmetrical proportions and grand halls that extend across multiple floors, connected by a central staircase. The interior displays elaborate decoration and wall frescoes that reflect the craftsmanship and wealth of its former inhabitants.

A fortress was originally built in the late 12th century and passed under the control of different local powers. Starting in the 15th century, renovations gradually transformed the structure from a military stronghold into a grand residential palace.

The palace shows how wealthy families in this region lived and displayed their power through architecture. Visitors can still see the rooms that were designed for gatherings and the daily life of the noble household.

The building now serves as a school, so access may be limited to certain times. Visitors should contact in advance to inquire about current visiting possibilities and opening hours.

Inside, there is a fresco by artist Giuseppe Natali that showcases the artistic quality of the decoration. Portions of the design are attributed to renowned architect Luigi Vanvitelli, indicating skilled planning and execution.
