Cala Spido

Cala Spido is a small cove on the Tremiti Islands with crystal clear water in varying shades of blue and white limestone cliffs that drop into the Adriatic Sea. The narrow beach is framed by tall cliffs and provides access to less crowded waters of the region.

The Tremiti Islands served as a navigation point since ancient times and were used by various cultures as a maritime landmark. The remote location made these islands a preferred anchorage and trading spot throughout centuries in the eastern Adriatic region.

The cove is only reachable by boat from mainland Puglia, as there are no road connections. It is best to arrange a boat trip from nearby villages or ports to reach this location.

At low tide, natural rock pools form here and create small, isolated bathing areas that offer a special swimming experience. These shallow pools are only accessible at certain times of day and change with the tides.
