Santi Pietro e Paolo Church

Santi Pietro e Paolo Church is a Catholic building in Ospedaletto Lodigiano featuring a rectangular nave surrounded by six side chapels. Its interior is covered by a barrel vault and displays distinctive Renaissance architectural details throughout.

Construction began in 1455 following a papal bull from Pope Callistus III, with the building receiving consecration in 1470 from Bishop Giovanni Stefano Bottigella. This marked a significant moment in the town's religious development.

Inside, visitors can see paintings by Luca Cattapane and a work attributed to Giampietrino showing the Madonna surrounded by saints. These artworks reflect the religious devotion that shaped the community during the Renaissance.

The church is located at Piazza Roma in the center of Ospedaletto Lodigiano and is easily accessible on foot from most areas. It remains under the care of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lodi and welcomes visitors throughout the week.

The bell tower features a square base topped by a conical spire, with two arched openings on each side of the bell chamber. This distinctive design gives the structure a recognizable profile visible from across the town.
