Samonà Castle

Samonà Castle is a fortified structure in Spadafora that houses military artifacts within its stone walls across several exhibition rooms. The collections span different periods and show how defense strategies changed over time through weapons, uniforms, and tactical materials.

It started as a coastal watchtower in the late 15th century and was transformed into a castle with angular bastions in the 17th century. This change reflects how coastal defense evolved when artillery became the dominant weapon.
