Cascata della Donnaiola, Waterfall in Quiliano, Italy
The Cascata della Donnaiola waterfall forms from the Danè stream, creating a 7-meter drop surrounded by natural rock formations and dense vegetation.
Local folklore connects the waterfall to Usanna, who fell from a rock while trying to see her beloved Pellegrino, leading to the formation of this water stream.
The waterfall represents a significant natural monument in the Liguria region, recognized by the Italian government as part of the national heritage collection.
Visitors reach the waterfall through a 2.8-kilometer path from Mulini village, crossing historical bridges and following the Danè stream for approximately one hour.
The water emerges from a natural rock crevice, creating a small lake at the base while maintaining a constant flow throughout different seasons.
