PalaItalia Santa Giulia, Indoor ice rink in Rogoredo, Milan, Italy
PalaItalia Santa Giulia is a modern ice arena in Rogoredo with capacity for around 16,000 spectators. The architecture comes from David Chipperfield and combines functional design with contemporary elements.
Construction started in 2022 as part of Milan's preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympics. This investment allowed the city to create a new sports venue for international competitions.
This multipurpose venue will replace the Mediolanum Forum as the primary location for major sporting competitions and entertainment events in Milan.
The building sits near Rogoredo station with good train connections to the city center. Linate airport is also easily accessible by public transport.
After the 2026 Olympics, the facility will become a permanent ice sports center. This makes it a long-term hub for winter athletics in southern Europe.
