San Francesco Church, Gothic church in Vigevano, Italy.
The church exhibits a Gothic architectural design with pointed arches, stone details, and a tall bell tower constructed between 1448 and 1475.
Built in 1379 outside the city walls, the church underwent significant transformations between 1465 and 1470, including a complete structural reconstruction.
The interior preserves numerous religious artworks and frescoes that demonstrate the evolution of local artistic styles from medieval to neo-Gothic periods.
The church maintains regular visiting hours for tourists and worshippers, with entrance through the main portal facing Via San Francesco.
A Baroque ossuary, known as chiesetta dei morti, stands along Via San Francesco after the right-side portal of the church.
