The Chiesa della Madonnina in Prato features a gray stone facade from Viggiù and contains a single nave with a barrel vault ceiling.
Construction of the church started in 1662 to house a miraculous image of the Madonna del Prato, with architect Giovanni Antonio Speroni adding a bell tower in 1722.
The church interior displays notable artworks, including frescoes by Francesco Allegrini and Louis Dorigny, painted between 1677 and 1678 on the dome.
The church underwent extensive restoration work from 1995 to 1996, led by architect Marco Giani, which restored both the interior and exterior structures.
The interior layout nearly replicates the spatial characteristics found in San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane in Rome, a design attributed to Francesco Borromini.
