Church of Saint Michael the Archangel

The church of Saint Michael the Archangel is a Catholic building with three naves separated by pillars and marble altars. These altars are dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua and the Madonna of the Rosary.

The original structure was built in 1596 to replace an earlier religious building that served the expanding community. A chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes was added in 1914.

The church honors Saint Michael the Archangel through its painted altarpiece in the central nave and wooden choir details. These elements reflect the dedication to this saint that has shaped the spiritual focus of the building.

The building is located at Via alla Chiesa 12 and is administered by the Diocese of Novara. You can visit outside of scheduled services, though access may be limited during ceremonies or Mass times.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, added in 1914, recreates the original grotto inside the church and displays a portrait of the donor Clara Gavinelli. This artwork documents a personal act of devotion from someone in the local community.
