Caroelli Palace

Caroelli Palace is a Baroque residence in Garbagna Novarese featuring a two-story eastern facade with defined architectural volumes, prominent cornices, and monumental chimneys. A central balcony with curved window ornaments marks the main front of the building.

The building was constructed in the 17th century as a country residence for the Counts of Vespolate, who established their presence at this location. The family shaped the property's development and use across generations.

The noble floor displays rooms with frescoes and stucco decorations in Baroque style, which reveal the taste and social standing of the aristocratic family who lived here.

The building stands along the provincial road to Mortara at Via Giacomo Matteotti 21-25 and currently shows signs of age and deterioration. Visitors should note the worn condition of the exterior and exercise care around fragile architectural details.

The southern facade features a deep portico supported by stone columns that leads to staircases with original wrought iron railings. These elements connect the different floor levels in a distinctive manner.
