Classis Ravenna - Museo della Città e del Territorio

The museum occupies a restored industrial building with 2600 square meters of exhibition space surrounded by a one-and-a-half-hectare park.

The museum chronicles the transformation of Ravenna through different periods, from Etruscan-Umbrian origins through Roman, Gothic, Byzantine, and Medieval times.

Exhibition spaces present archaeological artifacts, historical documents, and art pieces that demonstrate the development of Ravenna's society across centuries.

The museum welcomes visitors every day from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and provides complete wheelchair accessibility throughout its facilities.

The museum received the Premio Riccardo Francovich in 2021 for its contributions to archaeological research and cultural heritage preservation.
