Jordan University of Science and Technology, Engineering and medical university in Ar Ramtha, Jordan
Jordan University of Science and Technology is a university with twelve faculties spread across a large campus in northern Jordan, offering programs in engineering, medicine, and technology. The site includes teaching buildings, research facilities, and an attached hospital for clinical training.
The university was established in 1986 by royal decree, created from five faculties that were separated from Yarmouk University. This separation created an independent institution in northern Jordan.
The university draws students from many countries who study together in English-language programs, creating an international community on campus. This mixing of backgrounds shapes daily life and brings different perspectives to engineering, medicine, and research.
The campus is located in Ar Ramtha and is accessible to visitors, with parking areas and signs at the entrances. Best times to visit are outside exam periods, when the campus is less crowded.
The library holds an extensive collection of about 100,000 books and tens of thousands of periodicals, making it one of the largest academic collections in the region. This collection supports research and study across all fields at the institution.
