Minamiashigara

Minamiashigara is a mountain city in Kanagawa Prefecture situated on forested terrain between two national parks. The landscape features steep slopes, dense woodlands, and waterfalls that shape the character of the region.

The region fell under Hojo clan control during the Sengoku period and was later governed as part of Odawara Domain. It became an independent municipality toward the end of the 19th century.

Yuhi Falls is a notable natural feature that becomes especially apparent on hot days and provides relief to visitors in the heat. The mist and coolness around the waterfall draw people during the warmer months.
