Inabe, Agricultural city in Mie Prefecture, Japan

Inabe encompasses 219 square kilometers of land featuring mountain ranges, rivers, and agricultural fields in the northeastern section of the Kii Peninsula.

The region transformed from the village of Ageki in 1889 to the town of Hokusei in 1955, finally establishing as Inabe city in December 2003.

The Agricultural Park maintains 4,500 plum trees representing 100 varieties, celebrating this heritage through annual March festivals and June fruit picking events.

The Sangi Railway provides transportation across the city, while National Routes 306, 365, and 421 connect Inabe to neighboring regions.

The Freight Railway Museum preserves the industrial heritage of the region through exhibits of historical transportation equipment and documentation.
