Hino, Industrial city in Tokyo, Japan

Hino stretches across 27.55 square kilometers in western Tokyo Metropolis, with a population density of 6,800 persons per square kilometer.

During the Edo period, Hino developed from a post station and ferry point on the Kōshū Kaidō, facilitating trade along the Tama River.

The Tama Zoological Park in Hino presents numerous animal species while providing educational programs for visitors throughout the year.

The city connects to central Tokyo through multiple railway lines, including the JR East Chūō Main Line and several Keio Corporation routes.

Hino hosts the headquarters of Hino Motors, a Toyota Group company, and Orient Watch Co., established in 1950.
