Oi

Oi is a town in western Kanagawa Prefecture shaped by the Sakawa River, which flows through its western section. The area combines flat zones with hillier terrain where rice fields and fruit orchards alternate.

The town was created in 1956 through the merger of several villages including Yamada, Kaminaka, and Kaneda. This formation marked a significant administrative reorganization of the area.
