Oharu, Municipality in Ama District, Japan
Oharu is a town in Ama District in Aichi Prefecture located near the Nagoya metropolitan area. It serves as a residential community for people who commute to work in nearby urban centers.
The settlement received municipal status in 1889 and was formally elevated to town status in 1975. This transformation marked its development from a rural settlement into a modern residential town.
