Mori

Mori is a town in western Shizuoka Prefecture situated among forested hills and river valleys that shape its landscape. The town spreads across multiple districts with scattered neighborhoods, agricultural land, and natural areas that define its rural character.

The town was established as an administrative unit in 1889 and grew significantly when five surrounding villages merged into it in 1955. These expansions reflect how Mori developed from a smaller settlement into a larger unified community.
