Okayama Airport, Commercial airport in Okayama, Japan.
Okayama Airport is a commercial aerodrome in the Chūgoku region with a 3000-meter runway and three terminal levels. The facility handles both domestic and international routes serving the wider area.
The current terminal opened in 1988, replacing a former waterfront site in Minami-ku. Later runway expansions occurred in 1993 and 2001.
The observation area lets you watch planes and understand how air travel connects this region to the rest of Japan.
Regular buses from Okaden Bus and Chūtetsu Bus connect the airport to Okayama Station in around 30 minutes. Service is frequent and straightforward.
The airport was designed to replace older transportation methods and grew to become a key hub for the entire region. Its modern setup helps it handle both small and large aircraft efficiently.
