Nihonbashi-Kabutochō, Financial district in Chūō-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

Nihonbashi-Kabutochō is a financial district in Chūō-ku, Tokyo, where the Tokyo Stock Exchange and numerous banks and securities companies are located. The streets feature modern office buildings, historic structures, and a constant flow of business professionals.

During the Edo period, this area transformed from swampland into residences for Daimyo lords helping to build Edo Castle. Over time it evolved into a major financial center with the establishment of the stock exchange.

The name Kabutochō comes from ancient samurai helmets once associated with this location. Today you can see how the district serves as a working center where people conduct business daily.

The district is easy to explore on foot and buildings are clearly marked, helping visitors find their way. The K5 Boutique Hotel in a converted 1920s bank building offers accommodation with direct access to restaurants and business areas.

In the Kabuto One building lobby, a rotating cubic screen displays real-time stock market data. This feature shows how the location remains deeply connected to financial activity and reflects it through its design.
