Uzgen Minaret

The Uzgen Minaret rises from an octagonal base to a cylindrical tower standing at approximately 27 meters tall. It sits within a historical complex that includes several mausoleums and other medieval structures nearby.

The minaret was built in the 11th century when Uzgen was the capital of the Karakhanid Khanate, a period of great regional influence. This era marked a peak of power and cultural development across Central Asia.
