Apsan Park

Apsan Park is a mountain park in Daegu that spreads across multiple valleys and peaks, creating varied terrain throughout the space. The area features different trails and pathways that wind through forests and hillside landscapes.

The park developed as a recreation area for Daegu and was expanded to preserve the memory of significant military events. A museum within the park holds exhibits and objects related to the Korean War, particularly the Nakdong River Battle.

Buddhist temples such as Ansil-sa stand within the park, where visitors can observe traditional Korean religious structures and spiritual practices. These temples blend naturally into the landscape and shape how people experience the space.

A gondola system provides an easy way to reach higher viewpoints without hiking, though walking trails are available for those who prefer them. Bring comfortable shoes and be prepared for weather that can change quickly at elevation.

From the higher points in the park, views stretch across the entire city of Daegu and beyond, offering perspectives that many visitors do not anticipate. These views reveal how the mountain ridge forms a natural boundary along the city's southern edge.
